About This Role
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer for a full-time, remote position to build and enhance user interfaces for an innovative platform. The role involves developing responsive and efficient designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, architecting scalable frontend solutions, and implementing modern web applications. Your deep expertise in frontend technologies will help shape the user experience and define frontend architecture for the platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable frontend systems handling complex user interactions and state management
- Build intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern frameworks — focus on understanding how systems actually work, not just building features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend) to define requirements and ship pragmatic solutions
- Implement responsive web design to ensure cross-device compatibility and optimal performance
- Lead frontend technical design reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices and architectural patterns
- Reduce unnecessary complexity in codebases while improving reliability, maintainability, and user experience
- Participate in incident management — stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and take ownership when things break
- Contribute to open-source tools and libraries that improve team productivity and frontend ecosystem
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on frontend development experience building and shipping large-scale applications
- Strong expertise in front-end development, including building intuitive and responsive user interfaces
- Deep understanding of modern frameworks and tools — React, Angular, or Vue.js with production experience
- Proficiency in responsive web design to ensure cross-device compatibility and accessibility
- Experience in back-end web development and understanding of how frontend integrates with backend systems
- Strong knowledge of web development principles, performance optimization, and software architecture patterns
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug complex issues in production
- Track record of shipping features that directly impact business metrics and user experience
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Known for staying calm during incidents and communicating clearly under pressure
- Bonus: Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, state management (Redux, Zustand), or design systems
- Bonus: Open-source contributions or public speaking / technical writing
- Bonus: Experience with e-commerce, SaaS, or high-traffic platforms
